Vibrate Mode
Privacy Policy

Effective: June 28, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 28, 2026

The short version: Vibrate Mode Toggle does not collect or sell your personal data. The app uses an AccessibilityService solely to lock your screen when you tap the home-screen widget — this permission is never used for any other purpose.

1. Overview

Vibrate Mode Toggle ("the App") is an Android utility developed by Bhoomin Naik ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and how third-party services may interact with your device.

By installing or using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. Information Collection and Use

The App itself does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number. Certain third-party services integrated into the App (see Section 5) may collect data to provide their respective services. Any such data is governed by those services' own privacy policies.

3. AccessibilityService — Screen Lock Widget

The Screen Lock Widget uses an AccessibilityService to lock the device screen when you tap the home-screen widget — equivalent to pressing the power button.

This is required because non-system apps cannot call lockNow() without Device Admin, and the AccessibilityService API is the only way to perform a screen lock without requiring Device Admin privileges.

android:permission="android.permission.BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE"

This service is used exclusively to trigger a screen lock action in response to a widget tap. It does not read, record, or transmit any content displayed on your screen, and it is not used for any other purpose.

4. Log Data

In the event of an error, third-party tools used by the App may collect log data from your device. This may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, the time and date of the error, and related statistics. Log data is used solely for diagnosing and improving the App.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Play Services. These third-party providers have access to certain information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google Play Services handles data.

6. Cookies

The App does not use cookies directly. However, third-party libraries included in the App may use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You may accept or refuse these cookies; refusing cookies may limit some functionality.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable means to protect any information handled by the App. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Links to Other Sites

The App may contain links to external websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

9. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
