Privacy Policy

The short version: Expense Pro helps restaurants and their outlets track expenses, categories, products, and staff salaries — it does not process real payments, link bank accounts, or move money. It's a record-keeping and reporting tool only. The data you enter, including receipt/expense photos, is stored in our cloud database (Supabase) solely to sync your restaurant's data across your own team's devices; it is never sold and never shared with third parties for advertising.

1. Introduction

Expense Pro ("the App") is an Android app developed by Bhoomin Naik ("we", "us", "our") that helps restaurants and their outlets track and manage expenses, categories, products, and staff salary calculations across one or more outlets/restaurants.

The App does not process real payments, does not link to bank accounts, and does not move money in any way — it is a record-keeping and reporting tool only.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it's used, and how you can request that it be deleted. By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

To provide the App's core functionality, we collect the following information via our backend (Supabase):

Account information: your email address, display name, and profile photo URL, when you sign in with Google.
Restaurant/outlet data: the restaurant and outlet names and details you set up, and which team members have access to which outlets.
Category & product data: expense categories and products you create for your restaurant.
Expense records: expense amounts, dates, categories, notes, and photos you upload (e.g. receipts) when logging an expense.
Salary data: staff salary details you enter for salary calculations.
App preferences: settings and preferences stored locally on your device.

We do not collect an advertising ID, your location, your contacts, or any payment card or bank account data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

Provide the App's core features — recording expenses, managing categories and products, uploading and storing expense photos, and calculating salaries.
Authenticate your account and keep you signed in.
Scope and sync data correctly across multiple outlets/restaurants and your team's devices.

We do not use your information for advertising or marketing profiling, and we do not sell it.

4. Data Sharing

Your data is stored in our Supabase backend (a cloud database) solely to sync your restaurant's data across your own team's devices. Row-Level Security policies ensure each restaurant/outlet can only access its own data. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Supabase Auth and Google Sign-In act as service providers on our behalf to authenticate you and store your data securely — they do not use your data for their own purposes.

5. Data Security

Data sent between the App and our backend is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth and Google Sign-In, and access to restaurant/outlet data is enforced by Row-Level Security policies on the backend.

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your account, restaurant, and expense data for as long as your account is active, so the App can function and stay in sync across your team's devices.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data — expenses, categories, products, salary records, and account info — at any time by emailing us:

Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days, after which all personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at bhoominn@gmail.com so we can take appropriate action.

8. Your Rights

You can view, edit, or delete most of your data (expenses, categories, products, salary records) directly within the App at any time.

For account-level access, correction, or full deletion of your data, follow the instructions in Section 6 above by emailing bhoominn@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
